Bringing camaraderie back to blind veterans
As veterans leave the Armed Forces, they often think their days of military camaraderie are behind them.
However here are Blind Veterans UK we have other ideas. Throughout 2025, we worked tirelessly with the UK Armed Forces to provide new opportunities for blind veterans to experience that feeling once more. We were able to provide support to those veterans vulnerable to feelings of isolation, celebrate military history, provide comradeship, and remember the fallen.
Our programme of national events and military dinners brings blind veterans and service personnel together and helps us to raise awareness of sight loss. They are also a great way to continually engage with our corporate partners and help them meet some of the people that they continue to support.
Some of our 2025 highlights
Almost 1,000 people attended our national events in 2025, helping us to tackle social isolation and loneliness amongst those living with sight loss. We look forward to what's in store for 2026 and your continued support.
Could you be a sight loss champion?
