Thinking about writing or amending your Will? We can help by putting you in touch with a dedicated service to help you write a simple Will for free.

There are many Will-writing services available, but we work in partnership with the National Free Wills Network and Make a Will Online to offer a free simple Will.

If you use these services, you are not required to leave us a gift in your Will. But many of those who use the services choose to do so, and it would mean so much to our blind veterans if you would consider leaving a gift to ensure that help can be there for veterans long into the future.

Make a Will Online

Leaving a gift in your Will is now simpler and more secure than ever. Make a Will Online offers a simple process to write a simple Will for free from the comfort of your home.

  1.        Refer yourself via Make a Will Online
  2.        Answer a straightforward set of online questions
  3.        Review your Will
  4.        Have your Will checked by a solicitor and emailed or posted to you for signing and witnessing

Create your Will from the comfort of your own home. Every Will is carefully reviewed by a fully qualified solicitor, and you can ask legal questions along the way if anything is unclear. The service also includes free access to Capacity Vault, providing additional protection and helping to safeguard your wishes for the future.

National Free Wills Network

This is a more traditional service that allows you to meet face-to-face or by phone with a solicitor in your local area who will help you write a simple Will for free.

  1.        Email or call us with your name and contact details
  2.        We will refer you to the National Free Wills Network to claim your free offer
  3.        They will send you a list of participating qualified solicitors in your area
  4.        You can then book an appointment with one of these solicitors directly

Free Wills providers will always advise if a simple Will isn’t suitable for your specific needs. They will discuss whether additional paid work is recommended, and you can then choose whether or not to proceed.

'Writing my Will was easy'

We referred blind veteran Simon to the Free Wills Network. They put him in touch with a local solicitor who walked him through what he needed to do step by step.

Simon said: "The whole process was very painless. The solicitor talked me through it, explained any problems and I felt at ease. I wasn’t forced into making any decisions, and everything was explained in full so I understood what the nuances of it meant."
